Power is not only about who holds authority, but about whose authority feels natural, credible and unquestioned. Those perceptions are shaped by privilege, often invisible to those who benefit from it, sometimes weaponised, and always felt by those who do not.
To change power structures and the systems they form, do we have to change how we perceive men, women, class and culture? What we expect of people in power, and how those expectations show up in both the smallest interactions and the biggest decisions?
Sarah will be joined by Imran Mahmood, barrister, author and screenwriter, whose work sits at the intersection of law, culture and power. You Don’t Know Me (2017) was dramatised by the BBC in 2021, and Eleanor Ford, Chief People Officer at Zinc VC, whose work is rooted in her experience as an anthropologist, joins the conversation exploring the understanding of power in business, finance, and in each other.
