Have we forgotten that trust is a compounding asset?

Have we forgotten that trust is a compounding asset?

Trust is often spoken about as a value, but rarely treated as an asset,  something that is built slowly, tested under pressure and often eroded far faster than it is created. Trust compounds over time, shaping reputation, resilience, and long-term performance with customers, audiences, voters, shareholders, and teams, but in moments of uncertainty, political volatility, or economic pressure, do we forget that trust is what allows us to navigate them?

Sarah is joined by Joshi Herrmann, founder of Mill Media, to explore whether trust is too often expected rather than earned, or asked for rather than built over time, and what this means for our business, communities and our governments.

Before starting The Mill, Joshi wrote for The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, VICE and more. Since founding Mill Media, Joshi has brought local news back to cities across the UK with publications in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Sheffield, Liverpool and Birmingham and more than 175,000 email subscribers and more than 13,000 paying members.
