Jean-Christophe (JC) Demarta is Senior Vice President – Global Advertising for The New York Times. In this capacity, he oversees all international activities for the Company. With a global monthly audience 150 Million users, The New York Times has over 4M paid subscribers including 3M digital exclusives. This now
represents the largest pay model for journalism in the world.
Prior to his role at The New York Times, JC was the Advertising Director for the International Herald
Tribune and Deputy Managing Director for Advertising at Le Monde. He also held several positions in research and marketing at Publicis. He was educated in the United States where he received both a Bachelor
and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University. He has three daughters.
