One Question in Conversation

What unites the UK?

Join us on 30th April for our quarterly drinks reception to answer one question from different perspectives.

The United Kingdom has always been more of an idea than a fixed reality. Historically, it has been shaped by diversity, immense creativity, economic disparities, and shifting power dynamics. Yet something has kept it together—a shared purpose or a collection of stories we keep telling ourselves.

But today, that story feels increasingly fractured—is it? Is the perception of the UK its reality, or do we still share common values? From political divides and regional inequalities to cultural shifts and generational differences, the question of what unites the UK remains as relevant as ever.

In 2025, how do we bring the UK together, build its reputation, and rebuild trust in the country from the perspectives of business, community, creativity, and policy?

Hosted at Café Murano, Covent Garden, the evening offers you the chance to answer One Question in conversation with our community over a glass of wine and Italian Cicchetti.

30th April, 2025, 6 pm – 8.30 pm Café Murano, Covent Garden
